Deacons, Trustees, Deaconesses, Church Officers,

These are ministries within the church. they are usually appointed positions. they work in concert with the Pastor to ensure good stewardship of God’s resources. Deacons assist the Pastor in other pastoral-related duties. Usually, these appointed positions require congregational approval. Additional, the church officers are Treasurer, Church Clerk, and Church Historian.

Sunday School

This ministry is the teaching arm of the church; organized under the Department of Christian Education. If this is your interest, please become a part of the church’s teaching arm. This ministry oversees the Annual Black History Lecturer Series and Programming. Contact Reverend Hooper.

Associate Ministers Ministry

Persons receiving their calling to preach God's word may become associate ministers of the church. Persons, who believe they have been called to preach God's word, may contact and consult with the Church Pastor to discuss this calling and requirements to become an Associate Minister at the GCMB Church.

Ushers and Health Unit

If you wish to greet people; help to maintain order in the church by guiding and directing members and guests during worship services and at other times, this ministry is for you.

Mission and Outreach

Galilee Central Missionary Baptist Church (GCMBC) has several ministries to implement its mission to serve GOD. Find your interest and actively participate in serving GOD as you begin and continue your Christian journey.

The Mission-Outreach Ministry serves as the point of contact to help people in need; visit the sick and nursing home residents; and community outreach. If you believe this is your calling, this ministry is for you.

This Ministry conducts devotional and mediational period the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Choir and Musical

If you love to sing and/or play an instrument to praise GOD, this ministry is for you.

We have young adults, youth, men, mass, and senior choirs.

Culinary - Senior Saints - Annual Community Thanksgiving Community Dinner

If you wish to help plan and assist with food preparation for church-related events, this ministry may be for you.

Pastoral Care Group

This group plans and coordinates activities and other issues pertaining to the recognition and well-being of the Pastor and First Lady. They oversee events related to the Pastor's Anniversary. Sister Pinkie Stevensen is the point of contact.

YOUTH MINISTRY (3-15) & Young Adults (16-35)

Sister Fannie is the contact point for youth. Youth are part of the Sunday School Youth Classroom, Devotional Leaders/Singers (2nd Sunday every other month -- We need volunteers to work with our youth and plan Christian fun activities for them throughout the year. If interested, contact Sister fannie.

Maintenance

If you wish to help around the church to maintain the church building; church grounds; and other handyman work to keep the church properties in good working order and church grounds maintained, this ministry may be for you.

Church Anniversary

April is the Church Anniversary Month. an adhoc committee forms and coordinates events to recognize the occasion.

Picnic and Social Committee and Christmas Banquet Fellowship

This Group plans the annual church picnic, held in September; and the October Treat Festival. If interested, contact Sister Tyrobia Young.
